      3.  Reb-C 20%-90% HPLC:

           Rebaudioside C

REB-C,(CAS No: 63550-99-2), also known as Dulcoside B or Reb-C, is the third most abundant sweet glycoside found in Stevia rebaudiana. Nevertheless its isolation and purification are one of the most challenging compared to other glycosides. Few descriptions exist in literature of processes yielding high purity Rebaudioside C.

However recent studies show that highly purified forms of Rebaudioside C possess certain valuable properties. Particularly Rebaudioside C is capable to deliver flavor and sweetness enhancing properties.

Rebaudioside C is a natural primary glycoside constituent of the plant Stevia rebaudiana Bertoni and used as natural non-caloric sweeteners to diabetics and others on carbohydrate-controlled diets. Found in the by-product of Rebaudioside A production, Rebaudioside C is produced through advanced glycoside isolation and specialized extraction processing. While not a sweetener itself, Rebaudioside C has been trialed with nutritive sweeteners and shown to enable a 20-25% reduction in calories. In preclinical studies Rebaudioside C shows potent anti-inflammatory activity in against 12-O-tetradecanoylphorbol-13-acetate (TPA)-induced inflammation in mice. Steviol glycosides have not yet been approved as a sweetener in the European Union, but purified rebaudioside A gained GRAS (Generally Recognized as Safe) status in the USA in 2008, and in the same year the Joint FAO/WHO Expert Committee on Food Additives suggested a temporary admissible daily intake (ADI) of 0–4 mg/kg body weight, expressed as steviol.

Reb-C can be used as sweetness enhancer, flavor enhancer and sweetener in various food and beverage products. Non-limiting examples of food and beverage products include carbonated soft drinks, ready to drink beverages, energy drinks, isotonic drinks, low-calorie drinks, zero-calorie drinks, sports drinks, teas, fruit and vegetable juices, juice drinks, dairy drinks, yoghurt drinks, alcohol beverages, powdered beverages, bakery products, cookies, biscuits, baking mixes, cereals, confectioneries, candies, toffees, chewing gum, dairy products, flavored milk, yoghurts, flavored yoghurts, cultured milk, soy sauce and other soy base products, salad dressings, mayonnaise, vinegar, frozen-desserts, meat products, fish-meat products, bottled and canned foods, tabletop sweeteners, fruits and vegetables.

        Ⅵ.  What's Stevia

what's stevia

The species Stevia rebaudiana, commonly known as sweetleaf, sweet leaf, sugarleaf, or simply stevia, is widely grown for its sweet leaves. As a sweetener and sugar substitute, stevia's taste has a slower onset and longer duration than that of sugar, although some of its extracts Stevia extract may have a bitter or licorice-like aftertaste at high concentrations.

10 Years' Professional Supplier to USA,EU of top quality stevia sweetener,Cranberry Extract,Rhamnose.

Rebaudioside A has the least bitterness of all the sweet compounds in the stevia plant. To produce rebaudioside A commercially, stevia plants are dried and subjected to a water extraction process. This crude extract contains about 50% rebaudioside A and is refined using ethanol, methanol, crystallization and separation technologies to separate the various glycoside molecules in the extract. This allows the manufacturer to isolate pure rebaudioside A.

Steviol glycosides is natural and derived from the leaves of stevia plant, it does not contain any harmful chemicals often found in artificial sweeteners. Stevia is safe for diabetics, has been shown to help prevent tooth decay, and has even been recommended by the World Health Organization for use as a treatment for hypertension. By replacing sugar with stevia, consumers could potentially decrease caloric intake, helping to reduce obesity and other associated health risks.

side effects of stevia sugar

Ⅷ.  What are the side effects of taking Stevia Leaf extract

The FDA approved only the purified form of stevia, called stevioside, as safe to use.

Products considered safe contain words in their ingredient list such as steviol glycosides or Stevia rebaudiana. If you see whole stevia leaves or crude stevia extracts at your local natural foods store, don’t buy them.

The FDA says it doesn’t have enough information about their potential impact on your health, including kidney and cardiovascular problems.

Ⅹ.  Top Brand Stevia Leaf Extract Supplyment in market

1. NuNaturals NuStevia White Stevia Powder

The closest to real sugar of any product we tried. It's smooth, with no mouth-puckering sweetness and no aftertaste. This could be due to the addition of undisclosed "natural flavors," but there's no way to be sure. If you can stomach the mystery, this is the stevia for you.stevia sugar

2. SweetLeaf Natural Stevia Sweetener

This isn't quite as sweet as our winning brand—the first ingredient here is inulin fiber, a tasteless volumizing agent—so it's a good choice if you like a mild sweetness. It's got a very slight bitter aftertaste, but it's not a deal-breaker. Sold at specialty health stores and most supermarkets.

3. NOW Foods Organic Better Stevia Extract Powder stevia sugar

If you like your coffee a bit on the saccharine side, try this brand. It's got a powerful kick of sweetness thanks to a blend of stevia extract with dextrose, a corn-derived sugar. The sweetener's heavy, woodsy aftertaste can linger for an exceptionally long time, too.

6.  Pyure Organic Stevia All-Purpose Blend Sweetener ranks high in surveys.  It contains high quality organic ingredients but also contains more erythritol than stevia Leaf extract. It is sold in packets, in bulk or in liquid form extract de stevie.

7.  Micro ingredients stevia reb a is pure organic stevia extract powder which means it doesn’t contain any added ingredients.

8.  Natural Mate Stevia stevia reb a has perfected the texture of sugar.  The difference is negligible. It is blended with erythritol. It has a good taste.

9.  KAL Sure Stevia stevia reb a

For a long time KAL Sure Stevia was on top of the market with its sweet, 100% pure stevia extract. Now, however, they’ve mixed their stevia with maltodextrin, much to the chagrin of former KAL enthusiasts.

Add to that the fact that it is not organically certified like many of the other competitors, and KAL Sure Stevia winds up at the bottom of the rankings despite its historic popularity.

10.  Mommy Knows Best Pure Stevia

Mommy Knows Best Pure Stevia comes in a three ounce tub that’s well-suited for sweetening tea and coffee, but isn’t quite large enough for baking and cooking.

It’s got a sweet and well-balanced taste, but the only drawback for some people will be the lack of an organic certification.

11.  Stevia Select Sweetener

Stevia Select Sweetener is an organic stevia extract that comes in a tiny one ounce container.
